One of the great features of having a Zune Pass is that you're able to sync your friend's Zune Cards. "Well, what's the big deal?!", you'd probably say, "Anyone can put a friend's Zune card on their device." Yes, tis true, but with a Zune Pass, you not only can sync your friend's Zune Cards, but any music that's available in the Marketplace, that's on their card, will also sync to your Zune. Actually what you'll end up getting is a sampling of recent plays, favorites and top artists (for Top Artist what you get is 3 songs each from the top 2 artists on a person's Zune card).
Think of it, when you put my card, for example on your device, a sampling of what I'm listening to and enjoying comes with you. Yes, that means you may have to endure bouts of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Taylor Swift or even, perish the thought, Ashlee Simpson. But that's the risk you run, my friend [insert Dr. Evil laugh].
Now keep in mind, in order to sync a person's card you have to be friends with them on the Social, first.
I can't tell you how much I've learned from having different Zune cards on my device. A great deal of my collection was the result of someone's Zune card. Since I only own a Zune 30, I don't sync all of my friends, but I do have a rotating basis, by which every couple of weeks, I swap out one group of cards for another ... so watch out... I'm listening to you!
There's a section of the user's guide that deals with syncing friends to your Zune (how to do it, etc). I encourage you to take a look.
And why not? Put a few friend cards on your device? Take some of your friends with you into the weekend! They'll gladly supply the music! :-)
So, do you sync your friend cards to your device? What are your thoughts of the feature?
