Yesterday, in the mail, I received a CD by Kira Fontana. As I ripped the CD into Windows Media Player, I forgot that I had it on autoplay so the first song began to ring out through my headphones. On the other end was a hauntingly stunning voice. That first track "Home" was a delicious piece of work.

As I traveled through the rest of the CD I was awed by this young woman's abilities. She had a great backing band with her and I found myself going through the entire CD without even thinking about it.

At times she reminds me of Amy Lee from Evanesence (and I luv that band, too!). Overall I was very impressed with her vocals. Seeing as how this is her debut CD, I'm looking forward to other works that she has down the road.
