Rocking out only applies to rock music.

That’s essentially the thesis one of my dear friends gave me during a conversation about listening to music. What prompted that declaration was when I told her that I was rocking out to Seal. Apparently, that’s not possible because Seal isn’t rock music.

Now I’m not here to bash that declaration. I respect everyone’s opinion and how they perceive their listening habits. I only bring it up here because I wanted to hear what your definition of ‘rocking out’ is? Can you only rock out to rock music?

So I finally said that I was “sealing out”. Does that work for everyone? =)
