Now, everyone has their opinion about what rocks them. When I got this CD from Daydream on Autopilot and put it into my CD player, I – like I do all CDs – was expecting it to be nice, good.

Um, try awesome!

Daydream on Autopilot’s debut CD “Better Off Alone” was one of the best rocking CDs I’ve heard. I’m actually a little sad that it was limited to 5 tracks. It could’ve easily gone 5 more without wearing out its welcome.

The first track “Better Off Alone” is probably one of the coolest rocking songs that’s come across my ears in a long time. What I appreciated most about this CD was the blend of vocals and band. The lead singer, Emil, has a great female rocking voice and she carried her lyrics well. You could almost close your eyes and picture yourself at the concert dropping popcorn and drinks all over the place from all of the dancing that you’re doing. The band as a unit was strong, tight and cohesive. No one was trying to overpower another (kudos to the producer and mixer).

One of the best things about this ensemble, reading through their bio, is that they pride themselves on being an alcohol and drug free ensemble that's out to show you can have great, positive, upbeat and rocking good time without any inhibitors other than the sound and your dancing shoes.

So, I’m gonna offer the title track as a free MP3 (I forgot I don't rip as MP3. I rip as full-throated Windows Media Audio) for you to rock your Zune with.

Let me know what you think…
