The nominees for the Beatport Music Awards 2009, the annual awards that aim to recognize electronic music talent, have just been announced and voting is now open. To keep the awards fair and relevant to the whole electronic music scene, the nominees were chosen based solely on unit sales on Beatport during 2008 and are broken down into separate genre categories. The public must now decide which artists and tracks deserve to be recognized by casting their vote.
