So I was wondering if this was official, but I guess it is. I’m attending a special panel discussion and viewing of the new “Caprica”. Caprica is a show that will first debut on DVD this year and then become a series on Sci-Fi channel next year. The show takes place 50 years before the events of Battlestar Galactica.

This particular event, taking place April 20th at the ArcLight Hollywood, will have members of the casts for both BSG and Caprica in a discussion about the connection of both shows and what Caprica hopes to accomplish as part of the BSG storyline. Then, there will be a special screening of Caprica. The DVD itself will be available the next day for the general public.

Then comes the reception where I’ll get to chat it up with some members of the cast. I’m quite excited about this because I’m a fan of BSG (both the old school series and the new school edition). So this should be quite fun.

What does Zune have to do with this? Zune is one of the sponsors of the event along with companies like Netflix, the Los Angeles Times and American Airlines. If I don’t get too star-struck, I’ll try to get some pictures to share with everyone.
