The ZuneNation "Pay it Forward" Contest

The ZuneNation holiday initiative that started on December 1st will continue throughout the month of December. While you're encouraged to give back by way of simply doing normal shopping at Amazon, Inside the Circle and ZuneSpring will also do its part to give back to you, the community. One of the ways of doing that is this contest. You, and a friend, have a chance to each earn 1600 Microsoft Points (which you can also use in Zune Marketplace).

So how do you, and your friend, win:

You'll be sending out a tweet that follows this format: I'm going to #payitforward, and help my friend @[insert twitter name] win 1600 Microsoft Points from #ZuneNation.

So as an example, if I was nominating Travis Pope from ZuneSpring it would look like this: I'm going to #payitforward and help my friend @harlems win 1600 Microsoft Points from #ZuneNation.

Entries will be accepted until Monday December 7th, 2009 at 8:00pm. At which time a lucky pair (the nominator and his/her nominatee) will each get a code good for 1600 Microsoft Points.

By the way, if people on Twitter ask you what you're tweeting about, paying it forward means that you let them know of this contest (and provide a link to them) so they have a chance to win as well. Let's all be a family and fair about it, shall we!?

Per the usual stuff, writers of Inside the Circle or ZuneSpring aren't eligible (sorry, Travis, haha). The contest will go until Monday 12/7/09 at 8:00pm. Winners will be chosen shortly thereafter. Winners will be notified via Twitter announcement; they will each have 24 hours to respond after which new winners will be selected.

Here's the elephant in the room on this: Both selected winners have to respond within the 24 hour period to get the prize. We don't encourage Twitter spamming during this contest. That's not the idea. The idea here is for you to genuinely help someone (as well as yourself) get a few more Microsoft points in the bank.
